Rust and sage botanical maple foliage drapes over a slim fence beside a pale curving stream, ideal for dining rooms, sunrooms and hallways. The palette layers rust red, sage green and buttery yellow ginkgo on flat ivory ground, composed in the calm flat-plane logic of Rinpa-school design. Kamisaka Sekka built this from his Momoyogusa folio, an antique woodblock plate read as quietly elegant decor for design stores and garden centres. Scattered yellow leaves give the foreground a soft rhythm.
